Thinking about the 993 GT2 and how much I want it and I realized that if I could give up all of my extra possessions for one I would do it in a heartbeat. I would gladly live with no tv, no internet, basic cellphone, basic house, never buying anything I don't need, and always buying generic at the store, I would do it for a 993 GT2.

Close second would be a C111 with a Wankel of course.

Kinja'd!!!

So oppo, what car would you give it (almost) all up for?

A Ferrari 250 GTO, I would then sell it and then buy back a bunch of much nicer things with the 25 million dollars I made.

The McLaren F1 GT Longtail street version. Three made, each a different color (black, red, and dark green). More stable than the ordinary F1, top speed of 225 mph, it could be the ultimate F1 if given the same power and weight diet of the LM. It's still daily-driveable (popular story of a european owner driving the autobahn at speeds over 200 mph back and forth to work) and you'll get looks no matter what. Lots of compartments to hold items, three seats, 6-speed manual with a gated shifter, and you get an engine bay lined in GOLD.

I'd have to go with a 1966 Shelby AC Cobra. I'd give just about everything up for that. Worse case scenario, I get a second job to get my stuff back from the Rick and the guys at the pawn shop!

I'd give up our bakery to have this smug car parked in our garage.

If I had to choose a production car:

Kinja'd!!!

If it had to be street legal, it would be an Agera R.

But otherwise, I would want something more... custom. Something that looked beautiful and was a car I had history with, but was unparalleled to any other machine currently built. Something like a Datsun 240z on the outside, but with a completely carbon-fiber chassis, custom transmission, and a 1500 HP 4-liter twin turbo I6 that revved to like, 12000 rpm with a track-ready suspension and fan car technology on the inside. Something that was still reminiscent of a production car, but is absolutely hands-down absurd in performance and faster than most race cars around a track. A car that I would both fear and love on a daily basis, yet to the casual observer still looked like a vehicle you could take to the grocery store.

Basically, a car where the limiting factor is not performance, cost, or money, but my own strength .

Ok, well then I would probably go for a ferrari f12 Berlinetta since it would probably be the best combination of performance and comfort.

And the engine note is one of the best I've heard (definitely the best I've heard in person). It really strikes me as a jack of all trades supercar, not really the best at any particular thing, but damn good at everything.

A pre 1968 E type. Take my stuff. Take it all. Leave me a garage, a pair of loose shoes and a warm place to crap. Otherwise I don't care..take it all.

Probably an Alfa GTAm

Kinja'd!!!

Or after hearing two M1's screaming away at Watkins, an M1 procar (The black one sounded better)

Kinja'd!!!

Or because I just fucking love playing in the dirt, a Lancia Stratos… no wait, an 037. No maybe an HF integrale, but the Ford RS200's are awesome. Can I just go with the whole collection of Group B era cars?

2012 was my first Pebble Beach Concours, and as soon as I stepped in the gooding auction tent I knew that I had to have it. I've been thinking about it since. I've always loved cars, but seeing such a magnificent piece of motor art was shocking. I would give up organs, food, comfort, Internet, anything for it. I would rather live in a freezing shack and keep it in a heated garage than vice versa. God, I love that thing.

We can't all be the same, can we? Better that than a Prius or an Evoque I suppose.
